June Membership Meeting

This is an annual joint meeting of the ASQ St. Louis Section and the Consortium of Supply Chain Management.

Cathie Farroll and Paula Hughes, representing MoDOT will provide information about the first, and largest, design-build project in the history of the Missouri Department of Transportation. Their presentation will include the compelling reasons for accomplishing the project now, how the project will be accomplished and what measures are being put in place to mitigate the challenges of maintaining the regional roadway network for all the motorists who use sections of I-64 that will be closed during various stages of the construction.

About the Presenters

Cathie Farroll
Cathie Farroll has more than 20 years experience in transit and transportation. She managed Public Involvement and Project Communications for both the St. Clair County and Cross County MetroLink Expansions.

Cathie is now with HNTB, an engineering, architecture and planning firm. She is a consultant to MoDOT, providing expertise in communications, project information and governmental relations.

Cathie completed her bachelor’s degree at Lindenwood University and her MBA at Fontbonne University, while working full time at Metro, the local transit provider in the St. Louis region.


Paula Hughes
Paula Hughes has over eight years of project management, public involvement and transportation planning experience and five years of market research and operations management experience.

For Vector Communications, Paula currently provides community outreach as a part of the Gateway Constructors public information team for the New I-64 Project and public engagement consultancy services for the Northside -Southside Transit Improvements Study.

As a consultant, Paula’s primary duties revolve around public participation and operations evaluations in the policy areas of transportation, community planning and human services coordination. Paula received a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University) and a Master of Science degree in Transportation Planning and Management from Texas Southern University.
