Software QA/Testing Lead - Springfield, MO

IIS is looking for a QA/Testing Lead who is willing to learn and work on new and innovative methods of testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate should have 5-8 years of testing experience in mainframe and PC (web as well as client/server) environments. Familiarity with testing tools such as Rational Robot will be an added advantage.

Individual will be responsible for both QA and QC activities such as understanding, documenting and finding ways to improve testing processes; establish and help improve testing metrics; creating, updating, revising the test plans; creating test scripts using Rational Robot testing tool; review design documents and be able to develop test scenarios; be able to follow directions and defined process establish under QA activities.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and documenting testing processes
• Establishing and creating testing metrics
• Creating and documenting test plans, test scenarios and test reports
• Building the test environment
• Testing of software on “mainframe” & “web-based” platforms
• Investigation and replication of issues reported by customers
• Logging issues in Issue tracking system
• Automating the test scripts using Rational Robot
• Guiding/training/mentoring the testers to perform one or more of the above responsibilities.
