Senior Management Engineer

Shands HealthCare, a leading Florida healthcare system, seeks an ME professional with broad hospital/healthcare experience, including: project management, process improvement, cost reduction, and group facilitation skills. A BSIE required, an MSIE/MBA/MHA preferred, with 5+ years experience. The preferred candidate must:

• Be capable of working with limited supervision in coordinating a broad range of projects in a variety of settings among Shands 8 hospitals, 34 outpatient clinics, and 35 home care offices
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, experience in AutoCAD, simulation software (ARENA, MEDMODEL), and Visio preferred
• Be a confident professional capable of communicating effectively with all levels of management;
• Knowledge and experience of LEAN processes and health care application preferred.

Shands Management Engineering Consulting Services (MECS) department reports to the Assistant EVP/COO of Shands HealthCare. MECS consists of six management engineers and up to four part-time management engineer interns.
