Performance Management Coordinator - Bridgeport Hospital
Bridgeport Hospital (425 licensed beds) is a private, not-for-profit hospital and a member of the Yale New Haven Health System. The Performance Management Coordinator reports directly to the VP Performance Management and Risk. There are a total of five coordinators in the department, supported by an analyst. Each of the coordinators supports a specific area of the hospital; surgical, medical, cardiac, critical care, and support services. This opening will support the ED/Support Services area. The Support Services area includes radiology, pathology and labs.
The major responsibility is to provide performance measurement, target definition, evaluation and reporting expertise necessary to drive significant performance breakthroughs within the Emergency and Critical Care Departments. The Coordinator will work with the Risk Management Department to identify potential risk situations as well as with the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) Performance Management to achieve system wide Performance Management initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a clinical background (Emergency Department experience preferred) and is interested in expanding their knowledge of Six Sigma, LEAN, change management and acceleration (e.g. CAP, Workout). Courses on performance improvement methodologies are available through Yale-New Haven Health System's Institute for Excellence (during work hours).
