Director of Clinical Data Management – Wheaton Fransciscan Healthcare
Major areas of responsibility include:
- Ensuring that Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare provides accurate and timely clinical data to meet regulatory and other external reporting requirements
- Providing oversight and coordination for clinical data management and analysis activities, including, but not limited to, public reporting initiatives, payer specific reporting programs, and service line specific reporting
- Directing the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Data Department including general supervisory activities and budget management
- Serving as a coach, consultant, and expert resource within WFH on the topics of clinical data management and analysis, clinical measures, and external/public/payer-based reporting requirements. Stays current on emerging and changing reporting requirements
- Working collaboratively with leaders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all collected data. Provides analysis and/or consultation to assist leaders in understanding and utilizing their clinical data to drive performance improvement and improve the quality of care within their area.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Masters preferred.
- Detailed knowledge in the areas of measurement and data analysis, performance excellence, continuous quality improvement, healthcare processes, facilitation, coaching, and team building.
- Knowledge of healthcare public/external reporting
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data and turn data into information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all organizational levels in a Values-based environment.
- Proven ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of hospital information system structures, medical terminology, and basic statistical concepts.

Program Director, Management Engineer Consultant and Management Engineer
The positions in the Western Region are located in the Loveland/Greeley area of Colorado - 45-60 miles north of Denver along the Front Range of the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The Arizona positions are located in the metropolitan Phoenix area.
Banner Health is a non-profit healthcare system with over 20 acute care facilities located in 7 western states. Management Engineering positions are generally facility based and work closely with regional and facility leadership to facilitate organizational improvement.
At Banner Health, Management Engineering is a staff function that provides high level support for organizational improvement. Job functions include measurement and analysis of organizational performance including productivity management and analyzing and improving work processes. This work is accomplished by applying quantitative management tools, providing facilitation for teams, formal and informal coaching and training, and direct consultation with operational leaders.
Candidates for the Program Director positions must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred, in Industrial Engineering or a healthcare related field. The position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in a hospital operations or industrial engineering role, healthcare setting preferred.
The Management Engineer Consultant must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering with a proficiency level typically achieved with 3 years experience in Management Engineering / equivalent healthcare role or 5 years Industrial Engineering experience outside of healthcare.
The Management Engineer position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or healthcare related field or equivalent experience with minimum one year healthcare related experience. The successful candidates must be able to apply quantitative management techniques, perform complex data analysis, and use computer based tools. Effective human relations and communications skills and the ability to identify and meet customer needs in a team environment are required.

Senior Auditor/Analyst, Medicare Part D
This position will identify network pharmacy audit risks using analytical skills and audit tools and develop and execute audit plans and scope of procedures determined necessary to address those risks for assigned Part D clients. Develop and utilize new programs and analytical procedures, and utilize existing tools and knowledge of medications to identify pharmacies, members, physicians and claims representing audit risks and potential fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare Part D benefit. Perform efficient and effective on-site and investigational audits to produce results consistent with departmental policies and critical corporate goals while meeting or exceeding production goals. Prepare formal written reports and provide expert testimony expressing opinions on the findings of the audits performed, client impact, ESI risk, etc. as needed. Provide expert testimony as Auditor-in-Charge of investigations for internal and external proceedings. Prepare for and take lead role in client communications and present updates for assigned cliets. Identify and perform special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience; minimum 2 years auditing experience required; pharmacy/healthcare audit, or nursing experience preferred
- Certification strongly preferred (i.e., Certified Fraud Examiner, RN, Certified Pharmacy Technician or similar)
- Highly proficient in data warehousing, database and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present to clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to assimilate and maintain extensive detailed information required to support audit conclusions
- Ability to work well with senior management and high level external contacts
- Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information is critical
