Quality Engineer - Missouri

Job Summary:
  • Plan and conduct engineering activity associated with quality assurance of industrial processes, materials and products.
  • Provide timely on-site response to customer issues, and act as the customer's primary technical representative for the company’s product lines
  • Provide on-site technical support during new product launches
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding customer concerns and ensure effective, long-term solutions to problems
  • Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, and integration to assure high quality standards of products
  • Perform quality engineering review of design documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, including vendor manuals and company records
  • Apply SPC methods to analyze data for evaluation of current processes and determine needed changes
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to team members and staff
  • Direct staff engaged in quality assurance activities
  • Successful candidate will be a proven problem solver with excellent leadership and project management skills
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in automotive quality engineering
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Specific qualifications include:
  • Knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards, DOE and GD&T
  • Proficiency in CMM software
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation
Education:
BS degree in Engineering field; CQE or ASQE with five to ten years experience

Compensation:
$60K - $70K

Calibration Technician/Inspector - Essex Cryogenics

Location:
St. Louis, MO

Duties:
  1. Calibrate gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  2. Coordinate calibration of gages and measuring equipment that cannot be calibrated in-house with outside calibration laboratories.
  3. Track calibration of all gages and measuring equipment to make sure they are calibrated.
  4. Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection and document results.
  5. Follow inspection procedures.
  6. Generate first article inspection reports.
Experience:
  1. Minimum of two years experience in inspection preferred.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of calipers, micrometers, plug gages, ring gages, optical comparator, microscopes and various other standard inspection tools/equipment.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of ANSI and military style sampling procedures and tables for inspection.
  4. Fully capable of interpreting drawings and determining the proper inspection tool/equipment to use to measure drawing dimensions.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of Drawing Change Notices (DCN’s) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP’s).
  6. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Requirements:
  1. Vision – must be able to meet inspection far distance vision, near vision acuity, and color contrast differentiation requirements.
  2. Must have good communication skills.
  3. Must be accurate, thorough and highly detail oriented.
  4. Must be open to accepting additional responsibilities.
Hours:
Day shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Quality Engineer (Minneapolis, Minnesota)

Advancement opportunity into a Regional Division Quality Manager or Plant Manager!!

Work for a diversified industry leader and a Fortune 300 company (a $1.2B division of a multi-billion dollar parent company)

Will initiate and drive quality management at the plant level as well as to the supply chain and customer areas. Will also be responsible to develop Quality System at the plant. You will be rewarded for you success with advancement (1-3 yrs.) into a Divisional Manager role at the company’s Southern United States HQ site or Plant Manager role in Minnesota. This is a highly visible position that directly reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line report to a Regional Director of Quality.

Qualifications for this are a BS Engineering or equivalent education and 3-5 years quality experience (ASQ certification preferred). Knowledge of and implementing Continuous Improvement techniques into quality & manufacturing functions as well as having "Lean tools" experience is highly desired. Divisional Quality Manager (Chicago, Illinois)

The Divisional Quality Manager will be responsible for multiple sites throughout the U.S. The primary focus for this role will be to create and implement a quality plan throughout the division. Will build and improve the division's products and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, problem-solving & prevention methods/tools, and continual improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) techniques. Heavy travel is required: 75%+.
