Quality Process Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Performs analysis related to product quality, cost of quality, and effectiveness of corrective and preventive action. Develops and coordinates implementation of plans to improve the cost effectiveness of quality controls measures, to improve production methods and efficiencies, and to attain cycle time reduction. Initiates and maintains trend data relative to process control, key quality measures, and cost of quality. Develops and implements the Quality Management System in compliance with the ANSI-ASQ-ISO-9001 standard. Coordinate the implementation of ISO procedures with the development of measurement, analysis and revisions to quality processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect, process, analyze data related to product quality, cost of quality and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. (40%)
  • Develops and coordinates implementation of plans to improve the cost effectiveness of quality controls measures, to improve production methods and efficiencies, and to attain cycle time reduction. (20%)
  • Initiates and maintains trend data relative to process control, key quality measures, and cost of quality. (20%)
  • Other Functions (Quality System data entry, reporting, and administration). (20%)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work well with employees at all levels throughout the company.

EDUCATION

  • BA/BS preferred. Experience may be substituted

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years process quality experience, including analysis, working in a quality improvement role.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an organization with a structured process quality system.
  • Knowledge of quality engineering principles.
  • Ability to prioritize projects based on business impact and handle multiple simultaneous projects; excellent organizational skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills, including statistics, probability, and quality engineering analytical tools.

COMPUTER EXPERIENCE

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, capable of operating a personal computer, and able to read source documents.
  • Proficient in QualTrax systems preferred

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Background with imagery product processes desirable
  • Working knowledge of production planning, measurement and production control desirable.
  • Knowledge of remote sensing products and customer applications desirable

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES/CLEARANCES

  • ASQ or other certifications
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Normal office environment
