Job Description:
Position is responsible for leadership and management of the Quality Management System. Establish, implement and maintain quality control/management systems that continuously improve quality and/or reduce costs.
Reports to:
General Manager, Custom Products
Duties:
1.) Maintaining the quality documentation and Quality Management system.
2.) Directing the In-Process, Receiving, and Final Product Inspection Systems
3.) Working with Purchasing Management on Supplier Quality
4.) Provide necessary input on pre-planning activities (PPAP, PSO) as a part of the Advanced Product Quality Planning Team
5.) Direct the Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action Systems
6.) Communication with Customers regarding Quality Requirements and Product Quality Issues
7.) Direct supervision of all Quality department employees (Quality Engineers and Inspectors)
8.) Provide technical assistance to plant floor as required.
9.) Other duties deemed by Management.
Requirements:
Education:
Four (4) year technical degree or at least (8) years experience in quality technical field
Experience:
1.) Extensive knowledge of statistical methods & problem solving techniques.
2.) Working knowledge of blue print reading & GD&T
3.) ASQ Certification (Preferred)
4.) Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
5.) Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices.
6.) Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean/Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
