To the Section 1304 Members:

Thanks for your support these past 4 years.  It has been incredibly enjoyable and rewarding for me.  I think we accomplished a lot of things.  We have changed the outline of our September, November/December, and May Membership Meetings; we have completed our transition to electronic communication; we have brought a heightened awareness to our educational opportunities; we continue to provide and improve our Spring Conference; and most of all, we attracted the ASQ World Conference to St. Louis. 

During this time Section 1304 has earned 3 ASQ Total Quality Awards, two Gold Excellence Awards, and one Bronze Excellence Awards.  Section 1304 is truly one of the best and it has been a privilege to serve this membership.

 

I’d like to thank my predecessors, Chris Anderson, Brenda Bishop, and Rob Herhold, for their example, mentoring and support.  The accomplishments that I referenced are not the work of one person or the work of one Leadership Committee.  They are the work of many over time.  John O’Reilly recently stated; “The Chair of the St. Louis Section of ASQ is an activity built upon the shoulders of the previous Chairs.”

 

I look forward to having more time to interact with the membership at our meetings.  I hope that more of you will take advantage of our programs whether meetings, workshops, classes or the Spring Conference.

 

You have a great team in place for the next season; John O’Reilly as Section Chair, Kim Rochetti as Chair-Elect, Randy Thompson as Treasurer, and Denise Arthur as Secretary.
